Pricing & packaging questions.

What counts as a search?
A search is a single user query that hits Scouty's search index. Autocomplete, search-as-you-type, semantic, or document search calls each count once per executed query. Aggregate suggestions from a single keystroke session are billed as one search.
What counts as a document page?
A document page is one PDF or paginated document page indexed by Scouty Docs. A 50-page PDF counts as 50 pages. Re-indexing the same page does not consume additional page allowance.
What counts as an indexed image?
Each unique product image registered with Scouty Visual counts once. Variants and crops produced by Scouty during indexing don't count separately. Re-uploading or refreshing the same image does not increase the count.
Is the Search Audit automated?
No. The Search Audit is a manual, expert-led review performed by a Scouty commerce specialist after you submit your store details. It is not an automated scan. We will publicly distinguish any automated audit feature when it ships.
Can Scouty work with headless storefronts?
Yes. Scouty offers REST and GraphQL search APIs, indexing APIs, document and image upload endpoints, webhooks, and frontend components. Headless teams can use Scouty as a hosted search and discovery layer behind any custom storefront.
Can Scouty work with Shopify, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce?
Yes. Scouty integrates natively with Shopify, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce, and also supports product feed ingestion plus a universal JavaScript widget for stores on other platforms.
Can we start with product search and add AI/RAG later?
Yes. Most teams begin with the Starter or Growth base plan and add Visual, Docs, Semantic, AI, and Assets as the catalog and team grow. Add-ons can be activated in any order.
Is DAM required?
No. Scouty Assets (DAM) is an optional add-on. Many teams use Scouty for product, semantic, document, image, and AI search without ever turning on DAM.
How do overages work?
Scouty avoids surprise billing. You receive usage alerts as you approach plan limits and can pre-purchase usage packs (search, semantic queries, image searches, document pages, retrieval calls) before hitting hard caps. Custom limits are available on Pro and Platform.
